On December 14th, 1928, København (Capt. H.F. Andersen) left Buenos Aires for Melbourne with a crew of 15 seamen and 45 cadets. Her last contact, with radio, was on December 21st, with SS City of Auckland. She was never heard of again, presumably lost in a storm.
